MEMORIES
About Fathers and Sons and time shared

Childhood memories, childhood wishs
A boy growing up on the farm,
Living in the country charm.

Winter walking on snow drifts deep,
Climbing snow banks tall and steep,
Sliding, laughing, joys to reap.

A son, a father, learning, reaching,
The gap that Father is breaching,
For a hand the young lad is reaching.

Snows melted by rains of spring,
In the orchard young birds sing,
Father flies a kite upon a string.

On legs so short, running behind,
A Cocker Spaniel loving and kind,
All the magic of summer to find.

Trips of camping, fishing, and swimming,
A young boys fantasy spinning,
Playing, good times beginning.

Colored leaves of autumn turn,
Fires for wiener roasts burn,
For a fathers approval the young son yearns.

As comes a winters new solstice!
Tucked Into bed with a fathers kiss,
A boy not wanting to sleep, afraid of all he will miss.

And now that the boy has grown,
All these memories are sown,
Of the love a father has shown.

Still there is a lore,
In my heart an open door,
That beckons me, back to road Cannor

For it is there that past memories lie
Of sun from a clear blue sky,
And of love that no man can deny
